These Rights and Responsibilities include:

- Humane treatment when deprived of liberty
- Children in the criminal process
- Fair hearing
- Rights in criminal proceedings
- Rights not to be tried or punished more than once

Your right to representationWe are committed to assisting all people to understand their rights and responsibilities, including their right to an advocate, and their rights in relation to privacy, confidentiality and access to the complaints process. An advocate can be arranged through the Information and Referral worker at your local health centre.
