Organisational Support and Development
The Organisational Support and Development Program (OS&D) comprises:
- Reception and Administration
- Payroll
- Information Management
- Human Resources
- Finance
Formed in Feburary 2005 by consolidating six services, the OS&D Program is streamlined and has clear goals and objectives, providing a transparent, responsive and proactive approach to all staff and client requests.
Administration and Information Technology
The administration program is the first contact for clients coming into or phoning the service. The program staff create accessible and welcoming centres.
Information Management
The Information Management team have recently introduced a number of initiatives including:
- A web-based phone list and white board
- An overhaul of the existing internet and intranet web site
- Upgrading processes, such as the backup and network
- Upgrading technology, such as computers, and providing advice on computer-based applications to increase the ease at which other staff can achieve their goals
Payroll and Finance
The Finance and Payroll functions service the organisation’s financial management requirements and a part of its human resource functions.
Its key functions include:
- Financial reporting against budget and funding acquittals
- The maintenance of the financial reporting system
- The payment of suppliers accounts
- The recording of income from various sources, including grants and fees
- Telephone contracts management
- Car fleet management
- Processing fortnightly pays and maintenance of personnel files
Human Resources
Human Resource is responsible for providing expert advice to Senior Managers, on strategic human resource issues and providing operational advice to staff on Human Resource issues in the areas of:
- Organisational development
- Recruitment and selection
- Staff training and development
- Performance management
- OH&S
- Risk management
- Quality Improvement
- Industrial and Employee Relations’ issues
