Volunteering
Would you like to become one of our volunteers?
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and participate in your community.
We provide opportunities for volunteers to provide support to various programs and initiatives developed by our staff. These opportunities exist across the entire organisation, including assisting in the following areas:
- The Community Winter Breakfast
- Our Indigenous Access program (both the Wominjika BBQ and Our Rainbow Place)
- The production of the "Our Home, Our Community" publication
- The League of Gentlemen
- Rhed
- Driving - both buses and cars
- SRS hydrotherapy
- Community visiting, and
- Falls education
In 2006, volunteers contributed approximately 1010 hours to ISCHS and participated in 2680 client contacts. Between July and September 2007, our volunteers contributed over 777 hours of their time, including roughly 1419 client contacts. This 3 month total is similar to the total for the whole of 2005!
